       personality         jeff has been seen to be both anti - social and aggressive, displaying hostility towards most people that he encounters, especially when they do and say something that he does not like. he has a lack of empathy towards people and their feelings and has shown no motive to sugarcoat how he feels about anyone, dismissing them entirely. even when he was young, he was shown to be sadistic as he would harm small animals and liu's pets out of "curiosity." after that one night that happened, his humanity seems to be gone almost entirely and he is cruel and violent above anything else, but there are times when he does crack and appears human but it vanishes so quickly it almost seems like an illusion. when he is relatively nice, it almost seems both sarcastic and mocking as it is not displayed well. but, as stated, his mood can easily change.

jeffery woods is the oldest son of david and elise, and the older brother of liu who is two years younger than him. after his father had gotten a promotion at work across various states, the family was forced to move. georgia to wisconsin. different people, different scenery, and supposedly a new improved chapter to their life. the neighborhood was decent enough to call home, and their neighbors, a black family called the "shaws," were nice enough to introduce themselves and show them around the town. the parents, tamsy and hugo, had a daughter that was the same age as Jeff ( seventeen ) who went to the same school that jeff and liu were enrolled in for the year. she was quiet during the entirety of the introduction and kept a distance, seeminlg intimidated by both boys, but grew closer to liu over time. she warned them about a group of boys who were well known and popular, especially three in particular: randy, keith, and troy. of course, the following monday, when the two brothers had gone to school, with them being the new students, the bullies made them their fresh targets. during lunch they immediately started in with liu first, making fun of the scarf that was wrapped around his neck and trying to take it from him, pushing and tugging at him like a ragdoll until jeff appeared.randy, the one who was the most handsy, was on the floor with only a punch. jeff had practically beat him bloody to the point where his face was all bruised up and unrecognizable with his own blood. he was unconscious and had to be rushed to the hospital with jeff being taken to the principal's office and suspended. word quickly spread about the fight, how it appeared to be out of malicious intent rather than liu's safety and defense. videos had been taken and posted on social media. the woods family hadn't even been settled for four days, and they were already painted in a bad light because of that incident. though, with jeff being forced to stay home, jasmine looked over liu and shielded him away from pointing fingers and eyes. it was then that it was spilled that back in their hometown, jeff has gotten suspended plenty of times and even expelled from his fights and violent tendencies. it was one of the actual main reasons they had to move.jeff was meant to be suspended for one week. his dad worked, his mom spent time with jasmine's parents to keep company, and her and liu were at school. he was bored. he was itching for something to do. he wandered off most of the time, leaving out during the late hours of the night or just roaming around the streets and getting used to faces and homes. though, after one bad episode with a fight with his dad, he left at nine pm. and walked a few blocks down where the bullies were partying, having stolen a bottle of alcohol. keith and troy spotted him immediately along with a few of their other friends. they cornered him. jumped him. they pinned him down. cut his cheeks open on both sides, poured whiskey over his face, and with a lighter, lit him on fire. it was when a neighbor had stepped outside with the police on dial that they backed off, jeff ran down the street trying to put the fire out until he eventually stumbled into a puddle from the night's earlier rain.when the police and ambulance came, he was taken to the hospital where he was demanded to be released time and time again, and after growing hostility towards nurses and other patients, he was released. there were bandages that were wrapped around him, and after a terrible episode from being pestered by his parents and babying, he ripped those bandages off. he was angry. his face wasn't like it was meant to be, and knowing how well troy and keith were known, he was certain that they would get away with a slap at the wrist. he stormed upstairs to grab his knife and planned to leave. liu tried to stop him but was shoved down the stairs with so much force that there was a loud crack when he hit the bottom, blood pooling around his head as he lay unconscious. david tried to pry the knife away from him, but jeff plunged the knife into his face and dragged it down, tackling him to the floor and stabbing him repeatedly until he stopped moving. elise ran to grab the from the wall only for her head to be smashed in with it. he didn't check to see if liu was breathing or not as he left, assuming that his brother was death.troy. keith. randy. he killed them. slashed their faces, tore their skin like paper, and dug into their flesh and dragged out their organs. anyone who had gotten in his way, whether it was one of their family members, a random pedestrian, a child, or a dog, was killed. he walked his way towards the shaw household, but the police had caught up with him, and he was arrested. after days and discussions, he was permitted to stay in a mental health institution before he was actually sentenced. poked with needles and questions, all of which driving him mad until one day he was just ... gone.
